Villa Ellen is a charming 3 bedroom Premier Villa located in Ferragudo in the western region of the Algarve, Portugal. Set on a small private estate overlooking sandy Praia Grande beach, the villa offers tranquil Atlantic Ocean views, with the large furnished terrace the perfect place to watch the sun set with a glass of wine, or over dinner from the barbeque.

Formerly a beekeepers cottage, the villa has been completely refurbished into a modern and contemporary one-level beach villa. Well equipped with beach-chic interiors, the property is decorated in neutral colours throughout, with fun pops of colour.

Accommodation

The open plan living, dining and kitchen area lead out to a private terrace via patio doors. The living area has a lovely stone fireplace and the bedrooms have air conditioning for warmer days. There is also a utility room.

Bedrooms:

The master bedroom is a generous double room with an en suite shower room and there are two twin bedrooms which share a shower room. The en suites are both finished to an extremely high standard.

Outside

The gardens lead down to the private pool which measures 10m x 4m (0.8 to 1.2 metres deep) with Roman steps and a patio area. The pool was constructed in 2016 so the gardens are tidy but not yet mature.

There are some unexpected drops from various terraces and around the pool area, therefore, young children should be supervised at all times.  

Local area

This is an ideal choice for family beach holidays, or for those want to play golf on one of the areas many golf courses. The charming waterside village of Ferragudo, with its shops and restaurants, is only a short walk along the beach and the larger town of Portimao is just 6km away from the property.

There is a water taxi that leaves from Praia Grande or Ferragudo itself duiring July and August across the river to Praia da Rocha.  It runs from 09.30am until 1am. There isn't a website but please see Facebook under TAXI FERRY - Ferragudo.
