Praiano is a beautiful fishing village situated in between the popular Amalfi and Positano. Praiano is very peaceful and boasts the best views of the Amalfi Coast towards the distant Island of Capri. An ancient fishing village, a low-key summer resort and a popular centre for the arts, Praiano is a delight. With no centre as such, its whitewashed houses sit on the slopes overlooking the cristal clear waters.
The seaside resort that has retained the character of a quiet fishing town from days gone by. It is an ideal base for a holiday on the Amalfi Coast, but is accessible to other towns by bus or boat such as Sorrento, Positano, and Amalfi.
The ambiance is very friendly and laid back whilst offering an abundance of cafes, shops and restaurants. Praiano's main beach is the small, beautiful Marina di Praia, but other beaches are accessible by boat. The pretty, cylindrical Torre a Mare sits on a ridge over the town and coastline as it has for many centuries. The medieval structure served against attacks by pirates.
