Patmos is one of the Dodecanese islands situated in the Aegean Sea. It is well known as a spiritual, sacred island, where it is said Saint John wrote the notorious Book of Revelation. A monastery dedicated to the Saint now sits overlooking the island’s capital Chora.
The narrow windy streets are home to many lovely little shops, bakeries, restaurants and tavernas, selling delicious traditional cuisine. The beaches range from long stretches of golden sand to secluded lesser known pebble beaches.
The natural beauty and enchanting atmosphere on the island has long attracted nature lovers and those looking to unwind and be at one in the beautiful surroundings.
