Villa Edla


A flower and plant covered driveway leads guests to the beautiful Villa Edla. The villa shares its electric gates with another property Villa Ora, but is otherwise private.

The villa boasts an unrivalled position on the cliffs above Praia da Oura beach. The beach can be accessed from the villa’s garden via stairs. Please note that access to this beach can be difficult for those with poor mobility (nearby St Eulalia beach which is a short drive has better access).

The view from Edla is truly breath-taking. Various rooms have sea views including the living room, the large terrace and garden. When opening the patio doors, guests can enjoy the gentle sea breeze and the sound of the waves down below.

The living room is stylish and comfortable and provides access to the spacious terrace. From the lounge, an arch leads to the kitchen which has a breakfast room. All bedrooms have windows that open onto the garden and pool area.

It is hard to believe that this villa is just a short walk from Santa Eulalia with its variety of restaurants and bars. Some of these are visible from parts of the garden, whilst other parts offer complete privacy. The popular Areias de São João is also nearby, making this a good choice for groups with teenagers.

Accommodation (over 2 floors):

Entrance is to the upper floor and the lower floor leads out to the pool and terraces.

The sitting room seats 12 on modern and comfortable light-coloured furniture, leading out to a large terrace and with fantastic views of the sea and coast.  There is a separate home cinema room with DVD and surround sound.

The kitchen is new and modern, open plan with a large breakfast bar and granite worktops.  It is excellently equipped with electric cooker, hob and microwave, American fridge/freezer, toaster, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer.  The dining area with large table and 10 chairs is adjacent.  There is a second simpler kitchen on the pool level.

Spiral stairs lead to the bedrooms. There are 2 double rooms and 3 twins on the ground floor (pool level), all with bathroom ensuite, as follows:
Bedroom 1 has a double bed (1.4m bed), balcony with sea views and ensuite bathroom with bath and shower.
Bedroom 2 has twin beds (2 x 0.9m) and ensuite bathroom with bath.
Bedroom 3 has a king size double bed (2m bed) and accesses the pool and garden. It has an ensuite bathroom with bath.
Bedroom 4 has twin beds (2 x 0.9m) and opens on to the garden and pool, ensuite bathroom with bath
Bedroom 5 has twin beds (2 x 0.9m) and opens on to the garden and pool, ensuite bathroom with bath

The gym room has cycle machine, treadmill, sauna and Turkish bath (hammam)

Outdoors are terraces from which to enjoy the spectacular views.  On the living room level is a wide terrace and separate dining table with built-in charcoal barbecue.  The pool is small at about 5m x 3m approx and kidney-shaped with a ladder for access and a jacuzzi.  The garden has lawn, flowers and shrubs, and a steep path leads down to the beach.  Due to they layout of the garden, small children should be supervised at all times in the outdoor areas. Whilst the garden is not large, the superb location and views make up for that.  The hot water system is solar.  There is an alarm and electric gate.

There is an additional annex available on request at a further cost to sleep 4 people.

  • We do require a damage deposit of £500.00 on all bookings, 7 days prior to departure via a secure online page. This damage deposit is held against your card and is released back to your card on your return, subject to no damages. The damage deposit value will differ for weddings / celebrations.
