Premier Villas are proud to offer Villa Cammaratini which is a delightful seven bedroom ancient farmhouse situated in Modica, Sicily. Villa Cammaratini is traditionally known as a place of wellness. In fact the first owner Don Saro was a medical-healer whose reputation crossed the borders of the ancient county: still today, it is said of endless rows of wagons with which were transported by the Sicilian people in need of care, for which Don Saro prepared infusions and ointments, accompanied by formulas and prayers which cured the people of Sicily.
Villa Cammaratini has a large swimming pool, surrounded by dry stone walls, olive trees, carob trees, prickly pears and lemons, which give the location a typical Sicilian atmosphere. It is located in the countryside of the city of Modica, in the heart of the Val di Noto, a UNESCO area rich in natural beauty.
The villa has been beautifully and accurately renovated, respecting the architectural characteristics of the typical Modican buildings.
Accommodation in the main house includes 3 double bedrooms, all with private bathrooms. Two of these have showers and the third with a jacuzzi. There is a big living room with a TV and a large fireplace. The kitchen is modern and there is a large dining room. A mezzanine, provides a quiet meditation or reading corner, which in winter is an ideal spot in which to relax with a glass of wine or a good cognac.
There are two outbuildings, one of which is a suite, in fact it is the largest of the two. Inside there is a kitchenette, a large double bedroom and a large bathroom. This suite would be ideal for an elderly or disabled guest as access to the shower is also possible for wheelchair users.
The second outbuilding is divided in two parts, from one side there is a double bedroom with a private bathroom and on the other side there is a single bedroom and a double bedroom with a common bathroom.
